Design and Development of a High-Gain Broadband Balanced Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna Using a 3D-Printed Shaped Dielectric Lens

open access: yesIEEE Access
A broadband balanced antipodal Vivaldi antenna (BAVA) has been reported along with a novel 3D-printed shaped dielectric lens (SDL) for aiding in gain enhancement, largely towards the higher frequencies.

A Novel Methodology for Gain Enhancement of the Fabry-Pérot Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A significant problem that is encountered with the traditional Fabry-Pérot cavity (FPC) antenna is the nonuniform phase distribution inside the cavity, which adversely affects the radiation characteristics of the antenna.

Statistical assessment metrics for InSAR atmospheric correction: Applications to generic atmospheric correction online service for InSAR (GACOS) in Eastern China

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2021
The atmospheric effect represents one of the major error sources in Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), and its mitigation is found crucial for high-precision InSAR applications.

Generalizing the Coleman-Hill Theorem [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Following the work of Khare {\it et al}, we show that the generalization to systems with spontaneous symmetry breaking of the Coleman-Hill theorem to one-loop order, can be extended to the case including fermions with the most general interactions ...

Ray Theory-Based Transcranial Phase Correction for Intracranial Imaging: A Phantom Study

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Ultrasonic imaging provides a non-invasive way to diagnose brain disease. However, due to imaging degradation effects from the phase-aberration and reverberation, it is still challenging to achieve an accurate transcranial imaging.

Second-order phase correction of NMR spectra acquired using linear frequency-sweeps

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance Letters, 2022
NMR spectra acquired with experiments using frequency-sweeps such as the wide-band uniform-rate smooth truncation (WURST) spin-echo and Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (CPMG) sequences cannot be absorptively phased by using only conventional zeroth- and first ...

Compensation for phase distortions in nonlinear media by phase conjugation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
We demonstrate theoretically that the distortion-correction property of phase-conjugate beams propagating in reverse through aberrating media is also operative when the indices of refraction of the media depend on the intensity.

Maximum Kurtosis Phase Correction [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 1988
Summary Seismic reflectivity sequences have amplitude distributions that are leptokurtic, that is, they are more heavy-tailed than a Gaussian distribution. This property forms the basis of a method of phase adjustment for seismic reflection data, called maximum kurtosis phase correction (MKPC), that maximizes the ‘stand-out’ of events on seismic ...

CORRECTIONS TO TRIBIMAXIMAL MIXING FROM NONDEGENERATE PHASES [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2010
We propose a seesaw scenario that possible corrections to the tribimaximal pattern of lepton mixing are due to the small phase splitting of the right-handed neutrino mass matrix. We show that the small deviations can be expressed analytically in terms of two splitting parameters (δ1 and δ2) in the leading order.
