Atmosphere-Corrected Phase-Referencing
One major problem of phase-referencing VLBI observations are phase errors due to the unknown tropospheric zenith delay at each antenna. These errors degrade the quality of the phase-referenced image and limit the achievable astrometric accuracy. We will present and compare two independent methods to estimate the zenith delay offset at each antenna. The

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Electroweak baryogenesis and quantum corrections to the triple Higgs boson coupling [PDF]
A phenomenological consequence of electroweak baryogenesis is studied in connection with the Higgs physics. In a two Higgs double model, the first order phase transition can be strong enough to allow the electroweak baryogenesis due to the effect of ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Range and Accuracy Improvement of Artillery Rocket Using Fixed Canards Trajectory Correction Fuze
This paper presents a two-phase guidance and control algorithm to extend the range and improve the impact point accuracy of a 122-mm rocket using a fixed canards trajectory correction fuze. The guidance algorithm consists of a unique glide and correction

Qualitative comparison of several phase correction algorithms in single-image in-line X-ray phase contrast tomography [PDF]
In recent years, phase contrast has gained importance in the field of X-ray imaging and more particular in high-resolution X-ray computed tomography or micro-CT.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Compensation of orbital-angular-momentum multiplexed communication system with wavefront correction
It was shown that the quality of free-space optical communication system using OAM(orbital angular momentum)multiplexing was inevitably degraded by AT(atmospheric turbulence).A wavefront phase correction based on Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm to mitigate ...

A Phase Correction Model for Fourier Transform Spectroscopy
In Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTS), the conventional Mertz method is commonly used to correct phase errors of recovered spectra, but it performs poorly in correcting nonlinear phase errors.
