ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

A technique, first introduced in the context of pseudoperiodic sound waves, is here applied to the problem of detecting the phase of phase coherent and also phase noncoherent chaotic oscillators. The approach is based on finding sinusoidal fits to segments of the signal, therefore obtaining, for each segment, an appropriate frequency from which a phase

MOVEMENT DETECTION AND SPATIAL PHASE *
Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics, 1984Abstract Contrast thresholds for the detection of movement are determined when a sinusoidal grating pattern is shifted in spatial phase. “True” contrast reversal (180° phase shift) is compared with smaller phase shifts for a range of spatial frequencies. An unexpected increase in movement sensitivity is repealed

Adaptive Sequence Phase Detection
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2019A phase detection sequence is a length-n cyclic sequence such that the location of any length-k contiguous subsequence can be determined from a noisy observation of that subsequence. In this paper, we consider the problem of designing phase detection sequences that allow adaptive phase detection for different noise levels at the detector.

Phase and detection of compound gratings
Vision Research, 1980Abstract The detection thresholds of two gratings differing only in the phase of one of their sine harmonic constituents have been measured. A difference is found only when the gratings have a fundamental frequency below 1 c/deg. In this case the grating whose waveform has the greater contrast gradient is the more readily seen.

A system for extracting the phase components of an optical traveling wave field has been constructed. This system consists of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer to capture the wave field as the hologram, a photoelectronic scanning system, and an analog computing circuit.

Online Phase Detection Algorithms
International Symposium on Code Generation and Optimization (CGO'06), 2006Today's virtual machines (VMs) dynamically optimize an application as it is executing, often employing optimizations that are specialized for the current execution profile. An online phase detector determines when an executing program is in a stable period of program execution (a phase) or is in transition. A VM using an online phase detector can apply

Phase Invariant Keypoint Detection
2007 15th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing, 2007This paper introduces extensions to the complex wavelet keypoint detection paper [1], Keypoints are generated by finding local peaks in accumulated, interpolated maps of the product of magnitudes of directional complex filter responses, as in earlier work.
