FeS phase diagram and thermal Equation of State under high pressure

open access: yesPhysical Review Materials
FeS is a key end-member iron alloy relevant to the cores of telluric planets. Here, we present a comprehensive study of the FeS phase diagram up to 150 GPa and 3000 K, using in situ X-ray diffraction measurements in laser-heated diamond anvil cells. Our results extend the determination of the FeS melting curve up to 100 GPa.

Longitudinal Assessment of Biomarkers in ALS: Discriminative Biomarkers for Disease Progression and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To assess the association and discriminative performance of serum biomarkers with clinical disease progression and survival in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Methods This retrospective study, conducted at Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston, TX, used longitudinal serum samples collected between January 2018 and ...

Chiral Soliton Lattice turns into 3D crystal

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Chiral perturbation theory predicts the chiral anomaly to induce a so-called Chiral Soliton Lattice at sufficiently large magnetic fields and baryon chemical potentials.

Asymptotic Solutions of the Phase Space Schrodinger Equation: Anisotropic Gaussian Approximation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the singular semiclassical initial value problem for the phase space Schrodinger equation. We approximate semiclassical quantum evolution in phase space by analyzing initial states as superpositions of Gaussian wave packets and applying ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Unraveling 4‐Phenylbutyrate's Therapeutic Role in SLC6A1 Disorders: Pharmacochaperoning Over HDAC Inhibition

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Evolution of the Early Universe in Einstein–Cartan Theory

open access: yesUniverse
Einstein–Cartan theory is a generalization of general relativity that introduces spacetime torsion. In this paper, we perform phase space analysis to investigate the evolution of the early universe in Einstein–Cartan theory.

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Exotic phases in finite-density ℤ 3 theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Lattice ℤ 3 theories with complex actions share many key features with finite- density QCD including a sign problem and CK $$ \mathcal{CK} $$ symmetry.
