Phase-Field Model of Electronic Antidoping
Physical Review LettersCharge carrier doping usually reduces the resistance of a semiconductor or insulator, but was recently found to dramatically enhance the resistance in certain series of materials. This remarkable antidoping effect has been leveraged to realize synaptic memory trees in nanoscale hydrogenated perovskite nickelates, opening a new direction for ...

Phase-field modeling of stress-induced instabilities
Physical Review E, 2001A phase-field approach describing the dynamics of a strained solid in contact with its melt is developed. Using a formulation that is independent of the state of reference chosen for the displacement field, we write down the elastic energy in an unambiguous fashion, thus obtaining an entire class of models.

Computational phase-field modeling
2015Phase-field modeling is emerging as a promising tool for the treatment of problems with interfaces. The classical description of interface problems requires the numerical solution of partial differential equations on moving domains in which the domain motions are also unknowns. The computational treatment of these problems requires moving meshes and is

Phase-Field Modeling of Solidification
2005Pattern formation in solidification is one of the most well known freeboundary problems [1, 2]. During solidification, solute partitioning and release of the latent heat take place at the moving solid/liquid interface, resulting in a build-up of solute atoms and heat ahead of the interface.
