Magneto-thermal shock for a fiber-reinforced anisotropic half-space studied with a refined multi-dual-phase-lag model

, 2020
A novel model of multi-dual-phase-lag generalized magneto-thermoelasticity is presented. It is applied to treat a thermal shock for a fiber-reinforced anisotropic half-space. The medium is subjected to a primary magnetic field as well as a thermal shock.

Waves in dual-phase-lag thermoelastic materials with voids based on Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity

Journal of thermal stresses, 2019
The main idea of the present work is to extend Eringen’s theory of nonlocal elasticity to generalized thermoelasticity with dual-phase-lag and voids.

Three-phase-lag bioheat transfer model and its validation with experimental data

Mechanics based design of structures and machines, 2020
In this study, we introduce a three-phase-lag (TPL) bioheat transfer model for living biological tissue by considering the heat conduction law that includes heat flux, temperature gradient and thermal displacement gradient, among the constitutive ...

Small-scale thermoelastic damping in micro-beams utilizing the modified couple stress theory and the dual-phase-lag heat conduction model

Journal of thermal stresses, 2019
In this article, the size-dependent behavior of micro-beams with the thermoelastic damping (TED) phenomenon is studied. The coupled thermoelasticity equations are derived on the basis of the modified couple stress theory (MCST) and dual-phase-lag (DPL ...

Synchronization of Kuramoto oscillators with time-delayed interactions and phase lag effect

Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
We investigate the synchronized collective behavior of the Kuramoto oscillators with time-delayed interactions and phase lag effect. Both the phase and frequency synchronization are in view.

Magneto-thermoelastic excitation induced by a thermal shock: a study under the purview of three phase lag theory

Waves in Random and Complex Media, 2020
The present work is devoted to the study of the propagation of magneto-thermoelastic waves generated by a thermal shock in a finitely conducting elastic half-space.

A novel model of plane waves of two-temperature fiber-reinforced thermoelastic medium under the effect of gravity with three-phase-lag model

International journal of numerical methods for heat & fluid flow, 2019
Purpose In the present paper, the three-phase-lag (3PHL) model, Green-Naghdi theory without energy dissipation (G-N II) and Green-Naghdi theory with energy dissipation (G-N III) are used to study the influence of the gravity field on a two-temperature ...

Exact coupled solution for photothermal semiconducting beams using a refined multi-phase-lag theory

, 2020
The generalized photo-thermoelastic problem of a thick beam subjected to heat flux and photothermal conditions is studied. A modified multi-phase-lag photo-thermo-elasticity theory has been presented.

A Fractional-Order Alternative for Phase-Lagging Equation

International Journal of Numerical Analysis and Modeling, 2023
Summary: Phase-lagging equation (PLE) is an equation describing micro/nano scale heat conduction, where the lagging response must be included, particularly under low temperature or high heat-flux conditions. However, finding the analytical or numerical solutions of the PLE is tedious in general.

On a multi-phase-lag model of coupled thermoelasticity

, 2020
Various qualitative properties of the dual/three-phase-lag heat equations are discussed. A refined model of coupled thermoelasticity is formulated to consider three delay times: a phase-lag of heat flux, a phase-lag of temperature gradient, and a phase ...
