Three-grating monolithic phase-mask for the single-order writing of large-period gratings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2011
An optimized achromatic high-efficiency monolithic phase mask is presented whose principle was demonstrated and described in reference [1]. The mask comprises three submicron period diffraction gratings at a single substrate side that create a purely ...

Iterative phase retrieval with a sensor mask

open access: yesOptics Express, 2022
As an important inverse imaging problem in diffraction optics, Fourier phase retrieval aims at estimating the latent image of the target object only from the magnitude of its Fourier measurement. Although in real applications alternating methods are widely-used for Fourier phase retrieval considering the constraints in the object and Fourier domains ...

Single-Shot Compressed Imaging via Random Phase Modulation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Compressed sensing (CS) provides an innovative framework for signal sampling, which enables accurate recovery of the sparse or compressible signal from a small set of linear measurements far fewer than the Nyquist rate in traditional signal processing ...

Phase measurements of EUV mask defects [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2015
Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Lithography mask defects were examined on the actinic mask imaging system, SHARP, at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. A quantitative phase retrieval algorithm based on the Weak Object Transfer Function was applied to the measured through-focus aerial images to examine the amplitude and phase of the defects.

Exploring the prevalence and experience of mask anxiety for the person with head and neck cancer undergoing radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, 2018
Introduction While use of a thermoplastic mask during radiotherapy (RT) treatment for head and neck cancer (HNC) is an essential component of safe patient care, there is little understanding of the extent to which this evokes anxiety (i.e. “mask anxiety”)

PSSegNet: Segmenting the P- and S-Phases in Microseismic Signals through Deep Learning

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
Microseismic P- and S-phase segmentation is an influential step that limits the accuracy of event location, parameter inversion, and mechanism analysis.

UV-Writing of a Superstructure Waveguide Bragg Grating in a Planar Polymer Substrate

open access: yesSensors, 2017
We report on the fabrication of a superstructure Bragg grating in a planar polymer substrate. Based on a twofold illumination process an integrated waveguide and a superstructure Bragg grating are subsequently written into bulk polymethylmethacrylate by ...

Quasi non-diffractive electron Bessel beams using direct phase masks with applications in electron microscopy

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
Electron-beam shaping opens up novel imaging possibilities in electron microscopy (EM). The implementation of a phase or amplitude mask in the condenser lens system allows the generation of electron beams with various shapes. Non-diffractive Bessel beams

Design and Application of Phase-Only Diffractive Optical Element Based on Non-Iterative Method

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
In this study, we devised a method for the design of continuous phase-only holographic masks that map laser light to arbitrary target illumination patterns, which have a wide range of applications.
