Joint optimization of source, mask, and pupil in optical lithography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Mask topography effects need to be taken into consideration for more advanced resolution enhancement techniques in optical lithography. However, rigorous 3D mask model achieves high accuracy at a large computational cost.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

A Coded Aperture Compressive Imaging Array and Its Visual Detection and Tracking Algorithms for Surveillance Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2012
In this paper, we propose an application of a compressive imaging system to the problem of wide-area video surveillance systems. A parallel coded aperture compressive imaging system is proposed to reduce the needed high resolution coded mask requirements

Asymmetric optical cryptosystem for multiple images based on devil’s spiral Fresnel lens phase and random spiral transform in gyrator domain

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
An asymmetric cryptosystem is presented for encrypting multiple images in gyrator transform domains. In the encryption approach, the devil’s spiral Fresnel lens variable pure phase mask is first designed for each image band to be encrypted by using devil’

Apodized phase mask coronagraphs for arbitrary apertures

open access: yes, 2012
Phase masks coronagraphs can be seen as linear systems that spatially redistribute, in the pupil plane, the energy collected by the telescope. Most of the on-axis light must ideally be rejected outside the aperture to be blocked with a Lyot stop, while ...

Holographic fabrication of three-dimensional orthorhombic and tetragonal photonic crystal templates using a diffractive optical element [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We report the fabrication of both orthorhombic and tetragonal photonic crystal templates using a phase mask technique. Three-dimensional photonic crystal structures were formed by a double exposure of SU8 to three-beam interference patterns generated by ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Lyot-based Ultra-Fine Pointing Control System for Phase Mask Coronagraphs

open access: yes, 2013
High performance coronagraphic imaging at small inner working angle requires efficient control of low order aberrations. The absence of accurate pointing control at small separation not only degrades coronagraph starlight rejection but also increases the
