Non-adiabatic conditional geometric phase shift with NMR [PDF]
Conditional geometric phase shift gate, which is fault tolerate to certain errors due to its geometric property, is made by NMR technique recently under adiabatic condition.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Associational refuge facilitates phase shifts to macroalgae in a coral reef ecosystem
Coral reefs are among the most diverse and productive marine ecosystems and are currently threatened by natural disturbances such as predator outbreaks and tropical storms that can facilitate community shifts from coral to macroalgae.

The Phase Shifts of the Paired Wings of Butterfly Diagrams
Sunspot groups observed by Royal Greenwich Observatory/US Air Force/NOAA from May 1874 to November 2008 and the Carte Synoptique solar filaments from March 1919 to December 1989 are used to investigate the relative phase shift of the paired wings of ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Spin-Orbit induced phase-shift in Bi$_{2}$Se$_{3}$ Josephson junctions
The transmission of Cooper pairs between two weakly coupled superconductors produces a superfluid current and a phase difference; the celebrated Josephson effect.

Transmission Phase in the Kondo Regime Revealed in a Two-Path Interferometer [PDF]
We report on the direct observation of the transmission phase shift through a Kondo correlated quantum dot by employing a new type of two-path interferometer. We observed a clear $\pi/2$-phase shift, which persists up to the Kondo temperature $T_{\rm K}$.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Liquid-Crystal Terahertz Quarter-Wave Plate Using Chemical-Vapor-Deposited Graphene Electrodes
Quarter-wave operation or a phase shift of more than π/2, which is approximately ten times greater than that reported in previous works using liquid crystals (LCs) and graphene electrodes, was demonstrated.

Harmonically-related diffraction gratings-based interferometer for quadrature phase measurements [PDF]
We demonstrate the use of shallow diffraction gratings for quadrature phase interferometry. A single shallow diffraction grating-based Michelson interferometer yields only trivial (0° or 180°) phase shift between different output ports.
