An Environmentally Stable Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Perovskite Containing Py Cation with Low Trap-State Density

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
The commonly-employed methylammonium-based perovskites are environmentally unstable, which limits their commercialization. To resolve this problem, a stable hybrid perovskite, pyrrolidinium lead iodide (PyPbI3), was synthesized successfully via a simple ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

High-entropy rare-earth oxide ceramics for next-generation thermal and environmental barrier coatings: A comprehensive review

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics
As turbine inlet temperatures in advanced aeroengines and heavy-duty gas turbines continue to rise, conventional thermal and environmental barrier coatings (TBCs/EBCs) are increasingly confronted with critical operational bottlenecks.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Phase Stability and Inverse Hall-Petch Effect of Severely Deformed and Annealed CrMnFeCoNi High-Entropy Alloy [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials
The reverse phase transition from hexagonal close-packed (hcp) to face-centered cubic (fcc) was studied using diffraction of high-energy synchrotron radiation and hardness measurements on the CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy deformed by high-pressure ...

Stability Property and Phase Space

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1995
The stability concepts for the functional differential equations with infinite delay depend on the metrics of the phase spaces where the right- hand sides of the equations are defined. The paper clarifies the relationship between certain metrics and gives a unified aspect on the stability concepts by allowing more flexibility in the choice of the phase

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Influence of β-Stabilizing Nb on Phase Stability and Phase Transformation in Ti-Zr Shape Memory Alloys: From the Viewpoint of the First-Principles Calculation

open access: yesMetals
In the present study, the effect of the Nb element on the lattice parameters, phase stability and martensitic transformation behaviors of Ti-Zr-based shape memory alloys was extensively investigated using the first-principles calculation.
