Phase Structure of Driven Quantum Systems. [PDF]
Clean and interacting periodically driven systems are believed to exhibit a single, trivial "infinite-temperature" Floquet-ergodic phase. In contrast, here we show that their disordered Floquet many-body localized counterparts can exhibit distinct ...

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Knotted and linked phase singularities in monochromatic waves
Exact solutions of the Helmholtz equation are constructed, possessing wavefront dislocation lines (phase singularities) in the form of knots or links where the wave function vanishes ('knotted nothings').

The phase structure of QCD [PDF]
We review recent results on the phase structure of QCD and bulk QCD thermodynamics. In particular we discuss how universal critical scaling related to spontaneous breaking of the chiral symmetry manifests itself in recent lattice QCD simulations and how ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Inner core structure behind the PKP core phase triplication
The structure of the Earth's inner core is not well known between depths of ∼100–200 km beneath the inner core boundary. This is a result of the PKP core phase triplication and the existence of strong precursors to PKP phases, which hinder the ...

Structure of Chiral Isotropic Phases
ABSTRACT We present computer simulation studies of the model chiral liquid crystal as introduced by Memmer [1 2]. The analysis of resulting structures is based on the two-point correlation modes [3] and on calculations of the excess specific heat. Our aim is to characterize the isotropic phases and to search for a critical point between the isotropic ...

ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Thermal cycling behavior of EB-PVD TBCs with Pt modified aluminide bond coat
The(Ni, Pt)Al bond coats were prepared on the surface of nickel base single crystal superalloy by chemical vapor deposition(CVD), and then YSZ ceramic coats were directly deposited on the surface of bond coats by electron beam physical vapor deposition ...

Phase Structure of Dense QCD [PDF]
Summary: QCD phase structure and a new critical point at finite baryon density are discussed with special emphasis on the interplay between the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking and the color superconductivity. Results of a model independent Ginzburg-Landau approach and of a phenomenological Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model are presented.
