Phase Transitions in the Early Universe
2001There are many familiar situations when the properties of some substance change abruptly with temperature T. For example, a liquid may be converted into a vapor or into a solid state. Phase transitions are associated with non-analyticities of the partition function of the system.

An analytic model for phase transitions in the early Universe
Astronomische Nachrichten, 1985AbstractA simplified model of the very early Universe is presented for studying the effects of the GUT phase transition on the cosmic evolution and vice versa. An exact description of a strongly first order phase transition is given. Both inflationary and non‐inflationray solutions are obtained.

Phase transitions in the early Universe and their consequences
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1983The reasons for believing that a number of phase transitions occurred in the early Universe are reviewed, and their implications discussed. In particular, the current status of the explanation for the observed values of some constants in terms of the ‘inflationary universe’ is examined.

Entropy generation and phase transitions in the early universe
Chinese Astronomy and Astrophysics, 1981Abstract The baryon asymmetry in the universe may have been caused by the B, C, CP non-conserving interactions of the grand unified field theory. In this theory, there must exist spontaneous symmetry breaking which explains the CP nonconservation etc; that is there must have been Higgs phase transations in the early universe. I wish to point out that

Phase Transitions in the Early Universe and Defect Formation
1995The currently accepted standard models of cosmology and particle physics, taken together, imply that early in its history the Universe underwent a series of symmetry-breaking phase transitions, at which topologically stable defects may have been formed.
