Phased Antenna Array Implementation with USRP [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2017
This paper presents the implementation of a phased antenna array with Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). The antenna elements of the array are driven by individual USRP platforms. Hence, the synchronization and calibration of different platforms are required in phase and amplitude.

Phased-Array antenna beam squinting related to frequency dependency of delay circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
-Practical time delay circuits do not have a perfectly linear phase-frequency characteristic. When these delay circuits are applied in a phased-array system, this frequency dependency shows up as a frequency dependent beam direction (“beam squinting ...

Hybrid Parasitic Linear Array Antenna for Fine Beamsteering Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper presents an antenna that utilizes two beam steering techniques in concert in order to improve the antenna gain and steering resolution. Phased array steering is employed to achieve coarse resolution beam steering while parasitic steering is ...

Quadcopter active phased antenna array

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2021
Abstract Group use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for various purposes allows obtaining many of advantages in various tasks solvation. New advantages of UAVs group use are due the difficulty of separate observation of the group members and, accordingly, the difficulties of tracking and target distribution; the inability to serve the entire large ...

Ku-Band Dual Linear-Polarized 1-D Beam Steering Antenna Using Parabolic-Cylindrical Reflector Fed by a Phased Array Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
We propose a 1D beam steering high gain hybrid reflector-phased array antenna system for enhanced data rate wireless communication at Ku-band (12 - 14 GHz). The proposed hybrid antenna system consists of a D = 50 cm offset parabolic-cylindrical reflector

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
