The Orthodox Church and Religious Minorities in Shida Kartli Region in Georgia in the First Quarter of the Twentieth Century

open access: yes, 2017
We think that it is of utmost importance to disclose the facts about the uncommon treatment that took place during Soviet rule in the 1920s towards the Georgian Orthodox Church and all the other religious ...

Printed Recyclable and Flexible Thermocouple Temperature Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Printed recyclable thermocouple sensors with low cost, easy processing, and compatibility with mass production are developed. Using re‐dissolvable polymeric binders, the printed sensors decompose without harsh treatments, while ferromagnetic Ni flakes enable efficient magnetic separation of materials.

Real‐Time Wireless Detection of Heavy Metal Ions Using a Self‐Powered Triboelectric Nanosensor Integrated with an Autonomous Thermoelectric Generator‐Powered Robotic System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a self‐powered environmental monitoring system that integrates a triboelectric nanosensor (TENS) with a robotic hand, controlled remotely by an exo‐hand and powered by a thermoelectric generator (TEG). The fully autonomous system detects Pb2⁺, Cr⁶⁺, and As3⁺ ions in real‐time and operates without external power, ideal for remote ...

Neuraminidase 1 Exacerbated Glycolytic Dysregulation and Cardiotoxicity by Destabilizing SIRT1 through Interactions with NRF2 and HIF1α

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NEU1, a key regulator of glycolysis, is markedly upregulated following DOX treatment. This upregulation is attributed to HIF1α’s transcriptional repression, requiring intricate interactions with NRF2. Increased NEU1 facilitates SIRT1 lysosomal degradation, contributing to aberrant glycolytic phenotype and cardiac damage.

A Transition Metal‐Free Approach for the Conversion of Real‐Life Cellulose‐Based Biomass into Formate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A visible‐light‐mediated method has been developed for the direct conversion of biomass into formate at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. This approach achieves the selective generation of hydroxyl radicals, which subsequently transform sugars, cellulose, and hemicellulose into formate.

Pyruvate Carboxylase in Macrophages Aggravates Atherosclerosis by Regulating Metabolism Reprogramming to Promote Inflammatory Responses Through the Hypoxia‐Inducible Factor‐1 Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of macrophage pyruvate carboxylase (PC) in atherosclerosis (AS) demonstrating that PC upregulation in macrophages promotes metabolism reprogramming to enhance inflammatory responses via the HIF‐1 signaling pathway.
