Regioselective reactions of 3,4-pyridynes enabled by the aryne distortion model. [PDF]
The pyridine heterocycle continues to play a vital role in the development of human medicines. More than 100 currently marketed drugs contain this privileged unit, which remains highly sought after synthetically. We report an efficient means to access di-

Red‐light‐activated Ir1 overcomes hypoxia tolerance and adapts to the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, converting immunologically cold tumors into inflamed hot microenvironments. This conversion is driven by synergistic induction of immunogenic cell death through coordinated ferroptosis‐necroptosis pathways and spatiotemporally controlled ...

We have successfully developed a hypoxia‐responsive near‐infrared phosphorescent probe, Ir‐PEG. This nanoprobe demonstrates high sensitivity, water solubility, and deep‐tissue penetration. It remains specifically activatable even in the hypoxic intestinal environment, facilitating high‐contrast imaging of orthotopic colon cancer.

Photo‐Autocatalysis: Insights From Light‐Driven Self‐Catalyzed Organic Transformations
This perspective highlights recent advancements in photo‐autocatalytic reactions—light‐driven processes characterized by self‐accelerating kinetics. We explore the underlying mechanisms, demonstrating how photo‐autocatalysis can be realized either through a single photo‐autocatalyst or through a combination of a photocatalyst and an autocatalyst, and ...

The search for metal‐based anticancer agents with improved efficacy and reduced side effects is ongoing. The activities of these anticancer drugs depend on their aqueous stability, substitutional reactivity at target sites (cytotoxicity) and nontarget sites (toxicity), as well as their transportation and cell bioavailability.
