In "Sellars and the 'Myth of the Given,'" Alston argues against Sellars's position in "Empiricism and the Philosophy of Mind" (EPM) that there is no nonconceptual cognition. According to him, Sellars ignores phenomenal look-concepts that capture the phenomenal character of experience.
