Kinetics and Equilibrium Studies on the Adsorption Performance of Methylene Blue onto Terracotta Clay

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Volume 58, Issue 1-2, Page 3-17, January - February 2026.
ABSTRACT Methylene blue (MB), a toxic, carcinogenic, and persistent dye, has constantly contaminated aquatic systems, posing serious risks to human health and environmental safety. In this study, the potential of natural raw terracotta clay, herein termed (RTC), to effectively sequester cationic MB dye from aqueous solution was evaluated.

Photophysical and DNA‐Binding Properties of Phenoxazine‐Based Push–Pull Type Organic Chromophores: Insights From DFT, Molecular Docking, and Optical Studies

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study investigates the interaction of phenoxazine‐based organic dyads (PO1, PO2, PO4, and PO5) with calf thymus DNA using UV–visible spectroscopy, theoretical HOMO–LUMO analysis, and molecular docking techniques. The results reveal strong DNA‐binding interactions of these dyads, particularly PO5, highlighting their potential in biochemical and ...

A tribute to Professor Dr Kai A. I. Zhang: pioneering advances in metal‐free polymeric photocatalysis

open access: yesPolymer International, Volume 75, Issue 1, Page 34-43, January 2026.
Polymeric photocatalysts have emerged as metal‐free materials with tunable structures. This review highlights the contributions of Professor Dr Kai A. I. Zhang in advancing polymer‐based photocatalysts. Abstract Polymeric photocatalysts have emerged as promising alternatives to traditional metal‐based catalysts due to their tunable properties, low cost

Determination and Correlation of Anticardiolipin Antibody with High Sensitivity C- reactive Proteins and its Role in Predicting Short Term Outcome in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) is considered to be an independent risk factor while high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP) is an established marker for coronary artery disease. This study was conducted to determine levels of aCL antibodies and hsCRP,

Myasthenia Gravis Outcomes After Use of Statins and Other Contraindicated Treatments: Results From the French National Insurance Database

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 1, January 2026.
In this real‐world study among 14,459 adults with MG, exposure to any contraindicated treatment was not significantly associated with risk of ICU admission for MG but was associated with significantly higher risk of death. In contrast, statins were associated with a greater risk of ICU admission but a lower risk of death.

Gene variants with suicidal risk in a sample of subjects with chronic migraine and affective temperamental dysregulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
BACKGROUND: Risk factors for suicide are at least partially heritable and functional polymorphisms of targeted genes have been suggested to be implicated in the pathogenesis of this phenomenon.

Further Insights Into Anticholinergic Action Informed by Japanese Anticholinergic Risk Scale

open access: yesGeriatrics &Gerontology International, Volume 26, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT The increased anticholinergic burden caused by medications in older adults is one of the adverse drug reactions of particular concern, as it can exacerbate the onset of geriatric syndromes or induce cognitive dysfunction, and is also related to the issue of polypharmacy.

Effectiveness of Vitamin C for Gingival Depigmentation: A Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Objectives This systematic review is meant to evaluate the effectiveness of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in gingival depigmentation and assess its potential as a minimally invasive alternative for managing gingival hyperpigmentation. Materials and Methods Electronic searches were conducted across major databases, yielding eight relevant studies, including
