A novel decarboxylative palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling between easily available arene carboxylic acids and (hetero)aryl sulfonium salts has been studied. It turns out that (hetero)arylthianthrenium trifluoromethanesulfonates are the most efficient coupling partners and afford the desired biaryls in moderate to excellent yields.
