Functional polymer materials containing heavy group‐14 elements focusing on germanium and tin
Smart Molecules, EarlyView.The synthesis, functions, and applications of the polymers containing heavy group 14 elements focusing on germanium and tin are outlined. Owing to their large atomic radii and weak binding energies, the polymers show unique properties: chromism, luminescence, carrier mobility, and reactivity to produce radials and higher coordinated states.
