Effects of environmental perturbations during postnatal development on the phenotypic integration of the skull [PDF]
Integration and modularity are fundamental determinants of how natural selection effects evolutionary change in complex multivariate traits. Interest in the study of the specific developmental basis of integration through experimental approaches is ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A straightforward strategy for reducing variability in flowering time at warm ambient temperatures
Ambient temperature is one of the major environmental factors affecting flowering. As the temperature rises, most plants, including Arabidopsis, flower more rapidly.

Autosegregation of enzyme loci Me1 and Gpi2 in agamospermous progenies of triploid sugarbeet plants [PDF]
Ratios of malic-enzyme (ME1) and glucosephosphate isomerase (GPI2) phenotypic classes were studied in agamospermous progenies of triploid sugar beet plants.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Epigenetic regulation of adaptive responses of forest tree species to the environment [PDF]
Epigenetic variation is likely to contribute to the phenotypic plasticity and adaptative capacity of plant species, and may be especially important for long-lived organisms with complex life cycles, including forest trees.

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.
