Rapid Spectrophotometric Determination of Phenoxazine
A rapid high sensitive and inexpensive economic method has been developed for the Determination of phenoxazine by using molecular spectrophotometry. The method is based on the oxidation of phenoxazine by potassium (meta)periodate in acidic medium.

A nickel‐catalyzed cine‐substitution enables a 1,2‐carbonyl translocation (“carbonyl dance”) at tetralone derivatives under mild conditions. This transformation proceeds through enolization and selective amination, followed by hydrolysis, to afford β‐tetralones bearing migrated carbonyl groups.

New Functionalized Phenoxazines and Phenothiazines
The reaction of either 2-aminophenol or 2-(N-methylamino)phenol with 1,2-difluoro-4,5-dinitrobenzene and sodium carbonate in EtOH gives 2,3-dinitrophenoxazines. One nitro group, conjugated to the aryl ether, was displaced from 2,3-dinitro-10-methylphenoxazine with different nucleophiles: BuNH2, KOEt, and KOH.
