It is now well established that GPR139, a G-protein coupled receptor exclusively expressed in the brain and pituitary, is activated by the essential amino acids L-tryptophan (L-Trp) and L-phenylalanine (L-Phe) via Gαq-coupling.

The electron transfer flux in CPR‐P450 catalytic system is systematically engineered through: i) enhancing electron transfer rate by redesigning the putative electron transfer pathway of CPR; ii) improving electron‐receiving rate by evolving the heme domain of tryptophan‐5‐hydroxylase (T5H); iii) enlarging electron supply by fine‐tuning NADPH synthesis.

Recommendations for the nutrition management of phenylalanine hydroxylase deficiency
The effectiveness of a phenylalanine-restricted diet to improve the outcome of individuals with phenylalanine hydroxylase deficiency (OMIM no. 261600) has been recognized since the first patients were treated 60 years ago.

Abstract Quantitative determination of plasma phenylalanine (Phe) is essential for the diagnosis of phenylketonuria (PKU) and the control of dietary therapy of PKU patients. We have adapted a spectrophotometric method (Clin Chim Acta 1991;201:95-8) based on phenylalanine dehydrogenase (EC 1.4.1.-) for rapid and accurate determinations of

This study elucidates a novel SlJAZ8‐SlWRKY57‐SlAVT6A/SlAVT6B module that effectively channels metabolic flux from primary to secondary metabolism, impacting plant growth, development, and resistance. Two novel vacuolar amino acid exporters, SlAVT6A and SlAVT6B, fine‐tunes trichomes, terpenes, and gibberellins, bolstering spider mite resistance.

Shikimate and Phenylalanine Biosynthesis in the Green Lineage
The shikimate pathway provides carbon skeletons for the aromatic amino acids l-tryptophan, l-phenylalanine, and l-tyrosine. It is a high flux bearing pathway and it has been estimated that greater than 30% of all fixed carbon is directed through this ...
