Regioselective suzuki coupling on pyridinium N-(3,5-dibromoheteroar-2-yl)aminides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A regioselective Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction on 3',5'-dibromo pyridinium N-(2'-azinyl)aminides is reported. A series of 3'-aryl(or heteroaryl)-5-bromo-pyridinium N-(2'-pirazinyl)aminides were obtained in good yields.

Flexible organic room‐temperature phosphorescent materials

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in flexible organic room‐temperature phosphorescent (RTP) materials, covering both organic crystal and polymer systems. It discusses strategies to overcome the inherent rigidity and enhance the mechanical flexibility of organic RTP materials, aiming to enable their practical applications in anti‐counterfeiting ...

A personal 360° view of applications of ‘biomimetic’ molecular recognition

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract Molecular recognition between biological molecules has formed the basis for innumerable applications in biotechnology for the last seven decades or so. Techniques such as affinity chromatography, solid‐phase and aqueous two‐phase extraction, affinity precipitation, biomimetic catalytic systems, biosensors and molecular imprinting all exploit ...

Recognition of AMP, ADP and ATP through cooperative binding by Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes containing urea and/or phenylboronic acid moieties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
[Abstract] We report a series of Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with different ligands containing a dipicolyl unit functionalized with urea groups that may contain or not a phenylboronic acid function.

Aliphatic Poly(Carbonate)s with Acid Responsive Release Mechanisms for Micellar Anti‐Tumor Drug Delivery

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Micellar systems based on biodegradable aliphatic polycarbonates and acid‐responsive triggers enhance drug solubility, stability, and tumor‐selective release. This review covers micelles with acid‐cleavable drug linkages and those that disassemble via acid‐sensitive functionalities.

Boron‐10 carriers and their applications in boron neutron capture therapy

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Summary of different types of boron drugs. Abstract Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) has emerged as a promising therapeutic modality in cancer treatment, demonstrating the ability to selectively eliminate cancer cells through the 10B(n,α)7Li nuclear reaction with minimal side effects on normal tissues.

Nα-acetyl-L-ornithine deacetylase from Escherichia coli and a ninhydrin-based assay to enable inhibitor identification

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry
Bacteria are becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics, therefore there is an urgent need for new classes of antibiotics to fight antibiotic resistance. Mammals do not express Nɑ -acetyl-L-ornithine deacetylase (ArgE), an enzyme that is critical for

The scale matters: A review on stimuli‐responsive microrobots categorized by scale for biomedical applications

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
We systematically summarize how each scale dictates fundamental choices in design feature, manufacturing technology, driving mechanism, and control strategy, which are inherently governed by scale‐dominated physical principles. Furthermore, the application of scale‐determined operation modes of microrobots across different stages of medical ...
