The first comprehensive multilocus phylogeny of the lichenized genus Micarea (Ectolechiaceae, Ascomycota)

Abstract Micarea is a crustose cosmopolitan lichen genus that belongs to the euascomycete class Lecanoromycetes. Recent molecular phylogenies on the genus based on one to three loci have mostly focused on Micarea s.str., including the type species M. prasina, and suggested that Micarea s.l. is paraphyletic.

A Novel Link Between Electron Transport Chain Modulation and mcl‐PHA Production in Pseudomonas aeruginosa 5300 Using Azide as a Modulator

Environmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
The oleic acid and azide inhibited the cytochrome c oxidase activity in Pseudomonas aeruginosa MCC 5300, shifting the electron flux towards bd‐oxidase. This resulted in more NADH consumption to maintain the proton gradient for energy generation. The rapid depletion of NADH triggered high mcl‐PHA accumulation.

The data demonstrates that allergic contact dermatitis is common in WW with OD. The most important allergens include resins (including epoxy resin) and plant‐derived substances (including colophonium). The high share of WW with allergic contact dermatitis and face dermatitis hampers preventive efforts.
