Unequal Englishes in the Philippines
Journal of Sociolinguistics, 2016In this paper, we show how the notion ofunequal Englishescan be deployed as an alternative way of accounting for the global spread of English. Through our data, we show how call‐center agents in the Philippines espouse conflicting ideologies in the workplace that invoke unequal Englishes.

Grammatical Deviations as Features of Philippine English in Local Newspaper Editorials
Central Mindanao University Journal of Science, 2022This study identified the grammatical features of Philippine English in local newspaper editorials. Specifically, the study determined the frequency of occurrence of deviant cases in terms of subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions.
