EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT AS EMERGENT PROCESSES [PDF]

open access: yesManuscrito
This paper argues that embryonic development is best understood through the lens of process philosophy rather than traditional substance metaphysics. Drawing on both contemporary developmental biology and process thought, I demonstrate how key phenomena ...

The Geometry of Thought: Circling Through Concepts

open access: yesPhilosophies
The goal of this paper is to shed light on the nature of mathematical practice, i.e., on “doing mathematics”. It explores Gödel’s perspective, which offers an approach to understanding mathematics centered on concepts, objects, and structures.

Introducing Ulimisana Optimization Algorithm Based on Ubuntu Philosophy

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper we give introduction to the concepts of Ubuntu and how we used Mechanism design concepts to construct Ubuntu as an optimisation algorithm. Ubuntu philosophy is old and consists of many oral proverbs that have been documented in recent years.

Stress‐Normalized Sensitivity as a Comparative Benchmark for Intrinsically Piezoresistive Nanocomposite Materials in Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A stress‐normalised sensitivity metric (S = G/Y) is introduced as a materials‐level benchmark for intrinsically piezoresistive nanocomposites. By decoupling electromechanical response (G) from stiffness (Y), the framework enables direct comparison across diverse systems and clarifies design trade‐offs for wearable sensors.

Problème du rapport aux textes en philosophie des mathématiques : Husserl, Cavaillès, Desanti

open access: yesPhilosophia Scientiæ
The practice of philosophy of mathematics requires the level of textual sources being adjusted to fit with the level of concepts. Yet the relationship between these levels is not frequently thematized by philosophers of mathematics, and when it is ...

Enquête sur les modes d’existence des êtres mathématiques

open access: yesPhilosophia Scientiæ, 2019
This essay inquires how mathematical beings could be inserted into the architecture of modes of existence proposed by Bruno Latour in the framework of his pluralist and renewed ontology of the modern world [Latour 2012]. An answer to this question is put
