Analytical evaluation of PHM convergence

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2006
The parallel hierarchical matching (PHM) algorithm is a distributed maximal size matching scheduler for virtual output-queued switches. In a previous letter, we formulated an upper bound on the maximum number of iterations PHM requires to achieve a maximal size matching in any traffic scenario.

Algorithms for embedded PHM

2012 IEEE Conference on Prognostics and Health Management, 2012
Widespread adoption of Prognostics Health Management (PHM) systems can be hampered by hardware cost. One way to reduce cost, and expand the applications of PHM into industry, is to use embedded microprocessors to perform PHM analysis. Embedded PHM is challenging in that micro-controllers have limited processing power and memory.

Cost-benefit Model for PHM [PDF]

open access: yesProcedia Environmental Sciences, 2011
One goal of implementing PHM (Prognostic and Health Management) is to lower the cost of maintenance, and it is highly recommended to implement the model that is adequate for providing the right tool for evaluating PHM system.

PHM for astronauts: Elaborating and refining the concept

2016 IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2016
Clarifying and evolving the “PHM for Astronauts” concept, introduced in [1], this conceptual paper focuses on particular PHM-based solutions to bring Human Health and Performance (HH&P) technologies to the required technology readiness level (TRL) in order to mitigate the HH&P risks of manned space exploration missions.

A Systems Approach To PHM

Annual Conference of the PHM Society, 2015
The operational objectives of today’s complex, software intensive high technology platforms requires taking a systems approach to PHM. A systems approach to PHM includes the complete techno-social system involved in the equipment’s operations and maintenance - its full cycle of care.

GFRBS-PHM: A Genetic Fuzzy Rule-Based System for PHM with improved interpretability

2013 IEEE Conference on Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), 2013
This paper presents an approach to predict the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of a generic system when a higher level of interpretability of the prediction model is desired. A set of well known computational intelligence techniques such as Decision Trees, Fuzzy Logic, and Genetic Algorithms is used to generate a hybrid model which is called Genetic Fuzzy ...
