ここにいう焼成リン肥はリン鉱石中のフッ素をほぼ完全に除去して,これをク溶化したもので,いわゆる従来の焼成リン肥とは著しく趣を異にしている。回転窯焼成によってこの種のリン肥を工業的に生産することは諸外国においても類例がない。著者らは昭和26年頃からリン鉱石の脱フツならびにこれに関連した副産物関係の研究に着手し,以来数年にわたって基礎的ならびに半工業的試験を重ね漸く工業化の段階に達し,最近は月産3,000tの規模で生産を行っている。この間における研究経過,ならびに最近における工場操業状況および製品の性質肥効の若干について以下に略記する。
