Phase Separation of SF3B1 Serves as a Critical Post‐Transcriptional Regulator During Early Mouse Embryogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation of SF3B1 acts as a key regulatory mechanism for dynamic alternative splicing throughout early mouse embryogenesis. Its absence triggers extensive splicing errors, which induce persistent DNA damage, defective cell cycle progression, and failed cell lineage commitment, and ultimately hinder the normal growth and development of ...

Strain-Specific Phosphate Mobilization in Enterobacter: Organic Acid Production and Genomic Architecture of Solubilization Mechanisms

open access: yes
Phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms (PSMs) show promise for sustainable agriculture, yet inconsistent field performance limits their application.

Lyssavirus Nucleoprotein Induces GPAT4‐Mediated CYB5R1 Depalmitoylation to Suppress Ferroptosis and Promote Viral Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid metabolism plays a vital role in viral infections. Here, we reveal that the lyssavirus N protein regulates GPAT4 to induce lipid droplet biogenesis, restricting CYB5R1 palmitoylation and reducing ferroptosis susceptibility to ultimately promote viral replication.

The GPX3‐VCAM1 Axis Gates Pro‐Fibrotic Tubule Cell Fate in Hyperuricemic Nephropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperuricemia induces NLRP3 inflammasome signaling activation and downregulation of GPX3 in proximal tubular epithelial cells, leading to oxidative stress–driven VCAM1 upregulation, emergence of pro‐fibrotic proximal tubule cells, macrophage recruitment, and renal fibrosis.

Isolation and characterization of phosphate solubilizing bacteria from the rhizosphere of lentil (Lens culinaris M.) collected from Hagere Mariam district, Central Ethiopia.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
Phosphorus plays a crucial role in regulating many of the plant's metabolic activities by enhancing physiological functions and stimulating biological activities such as nodulation, nitrogen fixation, and nutrient uptake in the soil rhizosphere ...

Heavy Metal Contamination: Impacts From Plants to the Food Chain and Eco‐Friendly Amelioration Strategies

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Heavy metal pollution reduces soil health and threatens food safety by entering plants; however, the use of nanoparticles, biofertilizers, and organic fertilizers such as biochar offers a promising strategy for improvement and sustainable agriculture. ABSTRACT Heavy metal (HM) pollution, resulting from human activities such as mining and the excessive ...

Often in silico, rarely in vivo: characterizing endemic plant-associated microbes for system-appropriate biofertilizers

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
The potential of phosphate-solubilizing microbes (PSMs) to enhance plant phosphorus uptake and reduce fertilizer dependency remains underutilized. This is partially attributable to frequent biofertilizer-farming system misalignments that reduce efficacy,

Functional Specialization of Respiratory and Olfactory Mucus Revealed by Proteomic Profiling

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Mucus overlies the nasal mucosa in the respiratory and olfactory regions, which perform distinct physiological functions. However, proteomic differences between respiratory mucosa (RM) and olfactory cleft (OC) mucus remain unclear.
