Detergents and Chaotropes for Protein Solubilization before Two-Dimensional Electrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Because of the outstanding separating capabilities of two-dimensional electrophoresis for complete proteins, it would be advantageous to be able to apply it to all types of proteins.

Application of Potential Phosphate‐Solubilizing Bacteria and Organic Acids on Phosphate Solubilization from Phosphate Rock in Aerobic Rice [PDF]

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
A study was conducted at Universiti Putra Malaysia to determine the effect of phosphate‐solubilizing bacteria (PSB) and organic acids (oxalic & malic) on phosphate (P) solubilization from phosphate rock (PR) and growth of aerobic rice. Four rates of each organic acid (0, 10, 20, and 30 mM), and PSB strain (Bacillus sp.) were applied to aerobic rice.

Inorganic Phosphate Solubilization by a Novel Isolated Bacterial Strain Enterobacter sp. ITCB-09 and Its Application Potential as Biofertilizer

open access: yesAgriculture, 2020
The excessive use of fertilizers in agriculture is mainly due to the recognized plant requirements for soluble phosphorus. This problem has limited the implementation of sustainable agriculture.

Organic acid production in vitro and plant growth promotion in maize under controlled environment by phosphate-solubilizing fluorescent Pseudomonas

open access: yesBMC Microbiology, 2009
Background Phosphorus deficiency is a major constraint to crop production due to rapid binding of the applied phosphorus into fixed forms not available to the plants.

Mineral Solubilizing Rhizobacterial Strains Mediated Biostimulation of Rhodes Grass Seedlings

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2023
Minerals play a dynamic role in plant growth and development. However, most of these mineral nutrients are unavailable to plants due to their presence in fixed forms, which causes significant losses in crop production.

Effect of a mixture of caffeine and nicotinamide on the solubility of vitamin (B2) in aqueous solution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The effect of caffeine (CAF) and nicotinamide (NMD) on the solubility of a vitamin B2 derivative (FMN) has been evaluated for mixtures containing either a single hydrotrope (CAF or NMD) or the two hydrotropes simultaneously.

Phosphate Solubilising Fungi from Mangroves of Bhitarkanika, Orissa

open access: yesHayati Journal of Biosciences, 2008
Mangroves have evolved several adaptations to swampy and saline environments. It is situated at the inter-phase between marine and terrestrial environment, which is highly productive providing nutrients to surrounding micro biota.

Phosphatase Activity and Solubilization of Calcium phosphate by Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria

open access: yesBiodiversitas Journal of Biological Diversity, 2006
A study was undertaken to investigate the ability of phosphate solubilizing bacteria to solubilize insoluble phosphate. Seventeenth phosphate solubilizing bacteria were isolated from soil in Wamena, Papua. These organism was identified as Bacillus sp, Bacillus pantothenticus, Bacillus megaterium, flavobacterium sp, Flavobacterium breve, Klebsiella ...

Shifts Between and Among Populations of Wheat Rhizosphere Pseudomonas, Streptomyces and Phyllobacterium Suggest Consistent Phosphate Mobilization at Different Wheat Growth Stages Under Abiotic Stress

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2020
Climate change models predict more frequent and prolonged drought events in Central Europe, which will exert extraordinary pressure on agroecosystems.
