Modulation of Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-Diphosphate (PIP2) Phospholipase C Activity by 4-Hydroxyalkenals

1991
Hepatocarcinogenesis is followed by significant changes in lipid peroxidation rate. Normal liver is highly susceptible to lipoperoxidationl; the degree of hepatic basal lipid peroxidation can be strongly increased by pro-oxidant agents, such as ascorbate or ADF/Fe2+; the response to prooxidant substances is much lower both in hyperplastic nodules and ...

A Liposome Membrane Permeability Assay for Investigating the Effects of Phosphatidylinositol Phosphate Groups on Membranotropic Action of Venom PLA2.

Journal of Visualized Experiments
We developed a novel, cost-effective, and highly sensitive assay for assessing liposomal membrane permeability based on ligand substitution reactions involving ligands encapsulated in the inner volume of liposomes, which we combined with a hydrolytic ...

[Stimulation by vasopressin of hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol- 4,5-diphosphate and its relation to prostaglandin biosynthesis in the bladder epithelium of frogs].

Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1991
In experiments carried out on the frog urinary bladder, it was found that 20 sec after vasopressin was added, the content of 1,2-di-acylglycerol, labelled with [3H]-arachidonic acid, increased by 44% and the content of [3H]-phosphatidylinositol-4,5-diphosphate (PIP2) decreased by 22%.

The Role of Metabolites of the Phosphoinositide Cycle in the Regulation of Excitation Conditions and Regeneration of Damaged Somatic Nerves under the Action of Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1

Биофизика / Biophysics
Changes in the qualitative composition and quantitative content of metabolites of the phosphoinositide cycle have been studied and their participation in the process of excitation conduction along nerve conductors and regeneration of damaged somatic ...
