State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Integrated gallium phosphide nonlinear photonics [PDF]

open access: yesNature Photonics, 2018
Gallium phosphide (GaP) is an indirect-bandgap semiconductor used widely in solid-state lighting. Despite numerous intriguing optical properties—including large χ (2) and χ (3) coefficients, a high refractive index (>3) and transparency from visible to ...

Gallium phosphide photonic crystal nanocavities in the visible [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Photonic crystal nanocavities at visible wavelengths are fabricated in a high refractive index (n>3.2) gallium phosphide membrane. The cavities are probed via a cross-polarized reflectivity measurement and show resonances at wavelengths as low as 645 nm ...

E−H Bond Activation Reactions (E = H, C, Si, Ge) at Ruthenium: Terminal Phosphides, Silylenes, and Germylenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The placement of a strongly trans-influencing ligand on a ruthenium center opposite an anchoring silyl group of the tetradentate tripodal tris(phosphino)silyl ligand, [SiP^(Ph)_3]^− ([SiP^(Ph)_3]^− = tris(2-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl)silyl), has been ...

Managing aluminum phosphide poisonings

open access: yesJournal of Emergencies, Trauma, and Shock, 2011
Aluminum phosphide (AlP) is a cheap, effective and commonly used pesticide. However, unfortunately, it is now one of the most common causes of poisoning among agricultural pesticides. It liberates lethal phosphine gas when it comes in contact either with atmospheric moisture or with hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Facet‐Controlled Growth of Molybdenum Phosphide Single Crystals for Efficient Hydrogen Peroxide Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Facet‐controlled growth of molybdenum phosphide single crystals via liquid‐metal‐assisted chemical vapor deposition, demonstrating MoP nanoplate and pillar morphologies formed at different temperatures for efficient hydrogen peroxide synthesis. Abstract Transition metal phosphides (TMPs) stand out for their excellent catalytic activity, driven by metal‒
