Microemulsions with Alkyldimethyl Phosphine Oxides and Alkyldiethyl Phosphine Oxides
Langmuir, 2008Alkyldimethyl phosphine oxides (C n DMPO) as well as alkyldiethyl phosphine oxides (C n DEPO) with chain lengths of n = 10 (decyl), 12 (dodecyl), and 14 (tetradecyl) were synthesized and purified to study how the formation of microemulsions depends on the size of the headgroup and on the length of the alkyl chain.

Coordination chemistry with phosphine and phosphine oxide-substituted hydroxyferrocenes
Dalton Transactions, 2010New unsymmetrical hydroxyferrocenes were synthesised from dibromoferrocene. The oxygen heteroatom was introduced via lithiation and quenching with bis-trimethylsilylperoxide followed by hydrolysis to unmask the hydroxyl functionality. The coordination chemistry of 1'-(diphenylphosphino)-1-hydroxyferrocene 2 was explored with palladium and rhodium ...

From phosphine-promoted to phosphine-catalyzed reactions by in situ phosphine oxide reduction
Tetrahedron Letters, 2016Abstract The well-known stoichiometric phosphine-promoted reactions such as the Wittig, Mitsunobu, Staudinger, Appel reactions, and others are widely used in organic chemistry. Recently, many efforts have been made to render these reactions catalytic in phosphine.

The Estimation of Phosphine in Air
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1963Abstract A simple field method has been developed for the estimation of phosphine in the atmosphere of grain silos and other fumigation areas. The procedure uses silver nitrate impregnated papers as a means of visual detection. Quantitative estimation as low as 0.05 ppm is by color comparison with standard stains.

Enantioselective Phosphine Organocatalysis
Synlett, 2009The broad potential synthetic usefulness of phosphine-promoted reactions has stimulated many recent investigations on enantioselective variants of known reactions of this family, as well as the search for new, specifically designed, chiral phosphorus catalysts.

Determination of Phosphine in Air
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1966Abstract The method consists in collecting air in a fritted-glass bubbler containing silver diethyldithiocarbamate reagent. The generation of phosphine, the preparation of dilute phosphine in air mixtures, and the calibration of the silver diethyldithiocarbamate reagent with a primary phosphate standard are described.
