Tissue‐Specific Extracellular Vesicles Enriched From Circulation: Exploring the Liquid Biopsy Perspective

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) released from tissues can be found in human biofluids. EVs reflect the phenotypic state of their cell of origin, carrying informative molecular biomarkers within and between tissues, and represent a promising target for liquid biopsy.

High‐Throughput Screen of NPQ in Sorghum Shows Highly Polygenic Architecture of Photoprotection

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Natural genetic variation in photosynthesis and photoprotection within crop germplasm represents an untapped resource for crop improvement. Sorghum bicolor (sorghum) is one of the world's most widely grown crops, yet the genetic basis of photoprotection in sorghum is not well understood.

Comparative lipidomic and proteomic analysis reveals species‐specific differences in midgut composition and insecticide absorption between Apis mellifera and Bombus terrestris

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 2, Page 1540-1551, February 2026.
Lipidomic and proteomic analysis revealed large‐scale differences in the midgut composition of the honeybee Apis mellifera and the buff‐tailed bumblebee Bombus terrestris. These differences correlated to increased insecticide absorption in the bumblebee when using an ex vivo Ussing chamber and subsequently in vivo feeding assay (created in Biorender ...

Unlocking the genetic control of early seedling resistance to wheat powdery mildew through microphenomics

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 2, Page 1668-1679, February 2026.
Microphenomics is a new technique for detecting the very early resistance of powdery mildew in wheat seedlings, after 24, 48, and 72 h from infection. A number of 29, 42, and 34 genes models were identified to harbor significant SNP markers associated with the early resistance to WPM.

Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using fermentation extracts from a mangrove soil bacterium: morphological characterization, and antifungal activities against rice blast fungus

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 2, Page 2035-2047, February 2026.
This study synthesized silver nanoparticles (RFE‐AgNPs) with multifaceted inhibitory effects on Pyricularia oryzae using mangrove soil bacterial natural products and evaluated their toxicity effects on Artemia salina. Abstract BACKGROUND Rice blast, caused by Pyricularia oryzae, poses a formidable threat to global rice production.
