AbstractIt has been demonstrated that in hepatocyte nuclei the chromatin phospholipid fraction is localized near the RNA in decondensed chromatin. The aim of the present study was to see if there is any linkage between phospholipids and other nuclear components.

[23] Extraction of phospholipids and analysis of phospholipid molecular species
1990Publisher Summary The chapter presents a discussion on extraction of phospholipids and analysis of phospholipid molecular species. The phospholipids (PLs) are a family of molecules that, with the exception of sphingomyelin (SM), are characterized by the presence of a phosphate group esterified to the sn -3 position of glycerol and 1 (lyso-PLs) to 4 (

Phospholipid nanosomes are small, uniform liposomes manufactured utilizing supercritical fluid technologies. Supercritical fluids are first used to solvate phospholipid raw materials, and then decompressed to form phospholipid nanosomes that can encapsulate hydrophilic molecules such as proteins and nucleic acids.

[1] The biosynthesis of phospholipids
1992Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the biosynthesis of phospholipids, which consists of (1) the basic pathways leading to de novo formation of phospholipid and (2) special transformations that interconvert one phospholipid to another. There is more than one way that nature has developed to make specific phospholipids, and often, different ...
