Chromatin phosphatides and phosphoprotein
Life Sciences, 1969Abstract Phospholipids of chromatin isolated from rat liver were studied. The comparable ratios between phospholipid, DNA and protein were investigated. Individual phosphatide in the lipid fraction was identified and estimated by the combined techniques of column, thin-layer, and paper chromatography.

Evidence for phosphoproteins in reovirus
Virology, 1975Abstract Reovirus type 3 was radioactively labeled by infecting L cells in the presence of 32 P 1 . Approximately 0.1% of the total radioactivity in the purified virions could be assigned to phosphoprotein. Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of the phenol-extracted proteins showed that the majority of the 32 P label co-electrophoresed with the μ ...

Phosphoproteins in dictyostelium discoideum
Journal of Supramolecular Structure and Cellular Biochemistry, 1981AbstractThe phosphoproteins of Dictyostelium discoideum were compared at different stages of development by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Certain phosphoproteins of vegetative amoebae were conserved while others appeared and disappeared during development.

Mitochondrial phosphoprotein metabolism
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, 1963Abstract 1. 1. Rat-liver mitochondria incubated at 20° in a medium of KCl, Tris, Versene, and containing 32 P, rapidly take up the tracer into ATP and phosphotein fractions. Phospholipids are not labelled under these conditions. 2. 2. Inhibitors of electron transport and of oxidative phosphorylation reduce the rate of labelling of the ...

Chloroplast Phosphoproteins. Evidence for a Thylakoid‐Bound Phosphoprotein Phosphatase
European Journal of Biochemistry, 1980Isolated intact pea (Pisum sativum) chloroplasts incorporate [32P]orthophosphate into several thylakoid polypeptides in the light. Transfer of the labelled chloroplasts to darkness results in rapid dephosphorylation of the polypeptides. The most rapidly dephosphorylated phosphoproteins are the 26000‐Mr doublet derived from the light‐harvesting ...

Analysis of plant phosphoproteins
Analytical Biochemistry, 2007Chromatography supports to purify phosphorylated proteins (P-proteins) have become available recently, yet this has not been thoroughly investigated in the case of plant materials. In this study we used a commercial affinity matrix (Qiagen) and a test plant enzyme (phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase PEPC).

Ribosomal phosphoproteins in Physarumpolycephalum
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1979Abstract Ribosomal proteins of Physarum polycephalum were labelled in vivo with 32PO4. Three acid phosphoproteins were observed in the large subunit, while two basic ones were present in the small subunit. Ribosomal phosphoprotein S3 accounted for 70% of the total radioactivity and may be equivalent to S6 from rat liver.

Phosphoproteins of adenovirus 2
Virology, 1978Abstract Analysis of [ 32 P]orthophosphate-labeled extracts of adenovirus 2 (AD2)-infected HeLa cells revealed three major adenovirus-specific phosphorylated species, of molecular weights (MW) 100,000, 72,000, and 33,000. The 72,000 MW species became detectable as a phosphorylated entity at about 15 hr after infection, the 33,000 and 100,000 MW ...

Phosphoproteins in Postsynaptic Densities
1982Publisher Summary The postsynaptic density (PSD) is a dense submembranous filamentous array located behind and in intimate contact with the postsynaptic membrane. PSDs have been isolated from synaptosomal plasma membranes and synaptosomes using various detergents.

Chloroplast phosphoproteins: Distribution of phosphoproteins within spinach chloroplasts
Plant Science Letters, 1984Abstract The distribution of phosphoproteins within spinach chloroplasts was studied. Intact chloroplasts with good rates of CO 2 -dependent oxygen evolution were fed [γ- 32 P]ATP and then separated into stroma and membrane fractions. Only one major labelled stroma protein was identified by gel electrophoresis/autoradiography, with a mol. wt.
