Zirconoarylation of alkynes through p-chloranil-promoted reductive elimination of arylzirconates
A novel method for the zirconoarylation of alkynes was developed. TCQ-promoted reductive elimination of arylzirconate [LiCp2ZrAr(RC≡CR)], which was prepared by the reaction of zirconocene–alkyne complexes with aryllithium compounds, afforded ...

Chemical Methods to Knock Down the Amyloid Proteins
Amyloid proteins are closely related with amyloid diseases and do tremendous harm to human health. However, there is still a lack of effective strategies to treat these amyloid diseases, so it is important to develop novel methods.

We report electrochemical quantum capacitance spectroscopy as an ambient, in situ probe for defect‐mediated electronic structure at 2D material interfaces. Using monolayer MoS2, the method resolves band edges and vacancy states, tracks sulfur‐vacancy evolution during hydrogen evolution, and links interfacial density‐of‐states changes to nearly ...

This study examines how a PVDF‐like binder affects the argyrodite Li6PS5Cl electrolyte properties. Using an approach that combines bulk and surface characterization with electrochemistry, we found a chemical interaction between Li6PS5Cl and PVDF, resulting in partial chlorine substitution by fluorine and slightly reduced ionic conductivity.

A merged copper(I/II) cluster isolated from Glaser coupling
Copper-oxygen species in organometallic complexes and enzymes are involved in many oxidation reactions. Here, the authors synthesize a macrocycle-protected mixed valence Cu(I/II) cluster with an unusually strong oxidation capacity and apply it to ...
