Water, Alcohols, Amines, and Amides as Formal Hydrogen‐Atom‐Transfer Reagents Through Activation With Redox‐Active Lewis Acids

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Protic molecules containing strong O─H or N─H bonds typically resist hydrogen‐atom abstraction because of the high reactivity of the resulting heteroatom‐centered radicals. However, association of the protic molecules with redox‐active Lewis acids can provide powerful hydrogen‐atom donors or proton‐coupled‐electron‐transfer reagents.

An Enzymatic Platform for Late‐Stage (Radio)isotope Labelling of Oligonucleotides With Methyltransferases

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
State‐of‐the‐art synthesis of radiolabelled oligonucleotides involves multi‐step synthesis with high costs, extended timelines and significant radioactive waste generation. Herein, a dual‐methyltransferase platform enables late‐stage, site‐specific labelling, overcoming these limitations through reduced costs, faster turnaround and minimal radioactive ...

Enabling Moisture and Interfacial Stability in Sulfide Solid Electrolytes via a Processable Organic Coating Strategy for High‐Voltage All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The solid electrolyte, argyrodite (Li6PS5Cl or LPSCl), “waxed” with a 25 nm coating of decanoic acid (DA; C10H19O2) is protected against hydrolysis at high relative humidity and maintains its ionic conductivity. DA–LPSCl exhibits enhanced stability at both NCM|DA–LPSCl and Li|DA–LPSCl interfaces: solid state batteries with a bare NCM85 cathode and Li ...

Concentration strategies for phosphorus recovery

open access: yes
The thesis focuses on concentration strategies for phosphorus recovery in Baltic Sea sediment, a critical raw material for fertilizers and batteries. The research aims to improve the recovery process by using solution concentrations, evaporation and freeze concentration, to enhance phosphorus recovery.
