Oxidation of TNT by photo-Fenton process
Chemosphere, 2004A series of photo-Fenton reactions have been performed for the degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in a 4.2-l reactor. The degradation reaction rate of TNT followed a pseudo-first-order behavior; and the rate constants for 2.4mW cm(-2)UV only, 2.4mW cm(-2)UV/H(2)O(2), Fenton, photo-Fenton (2.4mW cm(-2)) and photo-Fenton (4.7mW cm(-2)) were 0 ...

Imazalil (IMZ) is a widely used fungicide for the post-harvest treatment of citrus, classified as "likely to be carcinogenic in humans" for EPA, that can be only partially removed by conventional biological treatment. Consequently, specific or combined processes should be applied to prevent its release to the environment.

Fenton and photo-Fenton oxidation of textile effluents
Water Research, 2002The simultaneous use of Fenton reagent and irradiation for the treatment of textile wastewaters generated during a hydrogen peroxide bleaching process is investigated. The experimental conditions tested during this study provide the simultaneous occurrence of Fenton, Fenton-like and photo-Fenton reactions. The batch experimental results are assessed in

Photoirradiation has been introduced into the homogeneous and heterogeneous Fenton system, improving the reaction activity through accelerating the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+. Carriers including clay, porous, and graphene materials are widely used for the loading and fixing of iron-based nanoparticles. Leaching and loss of iron species can be prevented.

Heterogeneous Photo-Fenton Technology
2018Organic pollutants, especially dye pollution, cause great concern owing to their being toxic, carcinogenic, and harmful to the nature and human beings. The wastewater treatment technology, equipment, and catalysts have been the focus of environmental scientific researchers beyond dispute.
