Unravelling the Distinct Phenotype and Mechanosensitive Properties of Different Tendon Cell Populations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tendon interfascicular and fascicular matrix cells are isolated and cultured, revealing distinct phenotypes and mechanosensitive responses. Interfascicular matrix cells exhibit marked stiffness‐dependent phenotypic plasticity, whereas fascicular matrix cells remain comparatively stable.

Restoration of m6A‐Modified circPSMB1 Suppresses Chordoma Progression and Enables Local Nanotherapeutic Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An m6A‐modified circRNA, circPSMB1, is identified as a tumor suppressor in chordoma. METTL3‐dependent m6A promotes circPSMB1 interaction with HNRNPA2B1, limiting c‐MYC expression and malignant progression. An injectable HMnO2‐based nanohydrogel enables local circPSMB1 delivery and tumor microenvironment‐responsive therapy, offering a promising strategy

Carbon and Electron Recovery in Integrated Biohydrogen Systems: A Critical Review of Dark Fermentation, Photo-Fermentation, and Microbial Electrolysis Cells

open access: yesEnergies
Hydrogen is increasingly recognized as a key energy carrier for decarbonizing hard-to-electrify sectors, yet more than 95% of current global production remains fossil-derived.

NbN Broadband Plasmonic Absorbers for Efficient Hot‐Carrier Injection Toward Improved Solar‐to‐Hydrogen Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Niobium nitride (NbN) broadband plasmonic metasurface absorbers provide an efficient platform for solar‐energy conversion through hot‐carrier injection. Quasi‐epitaxial NbN features a low work function of 4.0 eV, reducing the interfacial injection barrier and facilitating charge transfer into adjacent photocatalysts.

Oral Nanomicelle‐Mediated Sequential Butyrate Production in the Intestine for Ulcerative Colitis and Immunosuppression Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After oral administration, inodorous GLU‐BA self‐assembles into nanomicelles in aqueous environments to resist premature gastric adsorption. Upon reaching the intestine, endogenous esterases rapidly cleave the built‐in ester bonds in these nanomicelles to release BA and GLU, with GLU further metabolized by gut microbiota to gradually generate BA ...

Unleashing high-efficiency biohydrogen production from Arundo donax L. through interfacial charge transferring in hybrid catalytic systems by regulating metabolism

open access: yesApplications in Energy and Combustion Science
This study examines photo-fermentative biohydrogen production (PFHP) from Arundo donax L. using binary (SiC/ZnO) and ternary (SiC/ZnO/SnO2) co-catalyst systems.

Photoactivation‐Enabled Tunable Room‐Temperature Phosphorescence and Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence in Crystalline Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work is the first to demonstrate the regulation of photoactivated room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) in crystalline materials without any pretreatment. Furthermore, we reveal the underlying mechanisms by uncovering the role of host‐guest energy level alignment, exciton lifetime, crystallinity,
