FTIR Photoacoustic Spectroscopy Applied to the Curing and Aging of Composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Fourier-transform infrared photoacoustic spectroscopy has been applied to carbonfiber composites to test whether bulk physical properties of the composites could be determined using the near-surface-sensitive photoacoustic approach.

Sensitivity of photoacoustic microscopy

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2014
Building on its high spatial resolution, deep penetration depth and excellent image contrast, 3D photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) has grown tremendously since its first publication in 2005. Integrating optical excitation and acoustic detection, PAM has broken through both the optical diffusion and optical diffraction limits.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Waveform Selection Based on Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequences for Near-Optimal SNRs for Photoacoustic Applications

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
Waveform engineering is an important topic in imaging and detection systems. Waveform design for the optimal Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) under energy and duration constraints can be modelled as an eigenproblem of a Fredholm integral equation of the ...

Photoacoustics of single laser-trapped nanodroplets for the direct observation of nanofocusing in aerosol photokinetics

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Photochemistry taking place in atmospheric aerosol droplets has a significant impact on the Earth’s climate. Nanofocusing of electromagnetic radiation inside aerosols plays a crucial role in their absorption behaviour, since the radiation flux inside the

Inverse Diffusion Theory of Photoacoustics

open access: yes, 2009
This paper analyzes the reconstruction of diffusion and absorption parameters in an elliptic equation from knowledge of internal data. In the application of photo-acoustics, the internal data are the amount of thermal energy deposited by high frequency ...

Upconversion Nanoparticle‐Covalent Organic Framework Core–shell Particles as Therapeutic Microrobots Trackable With Optoacoustic Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Upconversion nanoparticle‐covalent organic framework core–shell particles provide enhanced contrast for optoacoustic imaging by leveraging the optical absorption of upconversion luminescence within the covalent organic framework matrix. Beyond their role as contrast agents, these particles enable customizable therapeutic agent loading and release, as ...
