Photocatalytic Aminoarylation of Styrenes

Organic Letters
Arylethylamines are privileged motifs in bioactive compounds and pharmaceuticals. Described here is a novel photocatalytic aminoarylation of styrenes to afford arylethylamines utilizing commercially available reagents. Aryl iodides undergo single-electron reduction to yield an aryl radical intermediate, enabling subsequent addition to styrenes.

Photocatalytic oxidation of toluene in the gas phase: Modelling an annular photocatalytic reactor

Catalysis Today, 2008
Photocatalytic oxidation of toluene in the gas phase over UV-illuminated thin layer of titanium dioxide was studied. The reaction was performed in the annular photocatalytic reactor at the room temperature and at various space times. The inlet reacting mixture consisted of air containing toluene and water vapours.

Preparation and Photocatalytic Degradation of Fe-Doped BiOCl Photocatalytic Materials

Langmuir
Fe-doped BiOCl (Fe-BiOCl) hierarchical microspheres were successfully prepared by using a simple one-step solvothermal approach. The Fe-BiOCl hierarchical microspheres were analyzed by XRD, IR, SEM, XPS, TEM, etc. The analyses confirmed that impurity levels were successfully introduced into the band gap of BiOCl through Fe doping, leading to a decrease

PHOTOCATALYTIC MEMBRANE REACTORS

2008
Heterogeneous photocatalysis is a promising technique for the abatement of organic and inorganic pollutants. This method is based on particular properties of semiconductor materials that irradiated with light of suitable energy (i.e. equal or higher than that of the band gap) can promote electrons from the valence to the conduction band with the ...
