Photochromic Nucleosides and Oligonucleotides
AbstractPhotochromism is a reversible phenomenon wherein a material undergoes a change in color upon exposure to light. In organic photochromes, this effect often results from light‐induced isomerization reactions, leading to alterations in either the spatial orientation or electronic properties of the photochrome.

Guest-dependent photochromism of 3,3′-bis-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-3H,3′H- [2,2′]biindenylidene-1,1′-dione in its inclusion crystals [PDF]
Inclusion crystals of 3,3′-bis-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-3H,3′H- [2,2′]biindenylidene-1,1′-dione (1b) showed a reversible color change from yellow to red upon photoirradiation, although 1b itself did not show photochromic property in the solid ...

Light‐Programmable Interfaces: From Molecular Photoswitching to Adaptive Membrane Separations
This review advances an interface‐centered framework for light‐responsive membranes, linking molecular photoswitches (azobenzene (AZO), spiropyran (SP), diarylethene (DAE), donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA), photoacid) to integration strategies in polymeric, porous, self‐assembled, and mixed‐matrix systems.

Phototunable Polarization Volume Gratings Driven by Chiral Hydrazone Switches
Chiral hydrazone photoswitches incorporated into polarization volume gratings enable light‐driven, reversible modulation of optical properties. UV and blue light irradiation reversibly alter the hydrazone isomer ratio, leading to tunable diffraction efficiency and spectral response across the visible spectrum.

NMR studies of the polyphotochromic behaviour of biphotochromic compounds
NMR spectroscopy has been used to investigate the photochromism of four biphotochromic molecules in both the spirooxazine and naphthopyran families. The thermal evolution of photoproducts and their structural identification made it possible to observe ...
