Abstract Analysis of triacylglycerol (TG) and phospholipid sn‐positional isomers can be divided into two main categories: (a) direct separation by chromatography or other means such as ion mobility mass spectrometry and (b) quantification of regioisomer ratios by structurally informative fragment ions with mass spectrometric methods.

We present a contemporary mechanistic description of the light-driven conversion of cyclopropenone containing enediyne (CPE) precusors to ring-opened species amenable to further Bergman cyclization and formation of stable biradical species that have been

Photodissociation of interstellar ArH+ [PDF]
Aims. Following the recent detection of 36ArH+ in the Crab nebula spectrum, we have computed the photodissociation rate of ArH+ in order to constrain the physical processes at work in this environment. Methods. Photodissociation cross sections of ArH+ are computed in an ab initio approach including explicit account of spin-orbit coupling. Results.

Iron monoxide photodissociation [PDF]
The photodissociation of Fe56O was studied by means of the velocity map imaging technique. A molecular beam of iron atoms and iron monoxide molecules was created using an electrical discharge with an iron electrode in a supersonic expansion of molecular oxygen.

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

The Catalyzed Photodissociation of Water [PDF]
Abstract Chemical interactions between molecules in excited electronic, vibrational, or rotational states and surfaces is a new field of catalytic science. Until recently, catalysis of chemical reactions has only been considered for molecules in their thermodynamic ground states.

Long pulse-repetition intervals of 100 to 500 ms of a 193 nm ArF excimer laser successfully increased the height of the photochemical micro-/nano-swelling of silicone rubber, observed with a scanning electron microscope.

Natural IaA+B diamonds were exposed in their bulk by multiple 0.3 ps, 515 nm laser pulses focused by a 0.25 NA micro-objective, producing in the prefocal region (depth of 20–50 μm) a bulk array of photoluminescent nanostructured microtracks at variable ...

C60IN PHOTODISSOCIATION REGIONS [PDF]
Recent studies have confirmed the presence of buckminsterfullerene (C$_{60}$) in different interstellar and circumstellar environments. However, several aspects regarding C$_{60}$ in space are not well understood yet, such as the formation and excitation processes, and the connection between C$_{60}$ and other carbonaceous compounds in the interstellar
