CdSe nanocrystals were prepared within a template of mesoporous silica (MS) spheres via chemical reaction. The photocurrent of CdSe/MS composite under UV illumination was distinctly higher than that in the dark. The horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was immobilized on the surface of the composite particles.
