The involvement of photosystem II-generated H2O2 in photoinhibition
The involvement of H2O2 generated by photosystem II (PSII) in the process of photoinhibition of thylakoids with a functional oxygen-evolving complex (OEC) was investigated.

This review analyzes single/combined abiotic (light, water, nutrients, hormones) and biotic (microbes, yeast) elicitors regulating signaling, gene expression, and metabolism to boost plant secondary metabolites. It highlights synergistic multielicitor strategies for crop quality and functional foods, while critically addressing current limitations and ...

Salt stress causes oxidative and osmotic stress, resulting in decreased nutrient uptake, plant growth, and photosynthetic rate. This study suggests that foliar application of dopamine can reduce salinity‐induced oxidative damage in pepper plants by altering antioxidant activity, biochemical, and molecular responses.

Summary Nonphotochemical quenching (NPQ) mechanisms fine‐tune light utilisation in the photosynthetic antenna, for example, in response to excess light, to prevent photodamage. NPQ comprises distinct mechanisms, all contributing to photoprotection but acting on different time scales.

Microphytobenthos (MPB) are a key primary producer of intertidal mudflats. MPB face strong variability in incident irradiance during low tides. Despite photoprotection and photoacclimation, such variations can translate into photoinhibition of MPB cells.

Model of intercellular functional coordination in Anabaena. Summary Diazotrophic cyanobacteria fix both atmospheric carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) into biomass, but the two assimilation pathways are not compatible. Species like Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 physically separate C and N assimilation in different cell types.

Photoinhibition Superresolution Lithography
While the prospect of nanoscale manufacturing has generated tremendous excitement, arbitrary patterning at nanometer length scales cannot be brought about with current photolithography -- the technology that for decades has driven electronics ...
