On the absolute photoionization cross section and dissociative photoionization of cyclopropenylidene

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2016
We report the determination of the absolute photoionization cross section of cyclopropenylidene, c-C3H2, and the heat of formation of the C3H radical and ion derived by the dissociative ionization of the carbene.

Bonding in a Borylene Complex Investigated by Photoionization and Dissociative Photoionization

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2012
AbstractThe borylene complex [(OC)5CrBN(SiMe3)2] has been investigated by using threshold photoelectron–photoion coincidence spectroscopy with synchrotron radiation. The ionization energy of the parent complex and the 0 K appearance energies of the sequential CO loss channels have been determined.

Electronic Spectroscopy and Photoionization of LiBe

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2021
Dimers consisting of an alkali metal bound to an alkaline earth metal are of interest from the perspectives of their bonding characteristics and their potential for being laser cooled to ultracold temperatures. There have been experimental and theoretical studies of many of these species, but spectroscopic data for LiMg and the LiMg+ cation are sparse.

Photoionization of N2O: Mechanisms of photoionization and ion dissociation

Journal of Chemical Physics, 1977
From high resolution photoionization mass spectrometric data on normal and isotopically substituted N2O it is concluded that the formation of NO+ below the à state of N2O+ but above the thermochemical threshold involves the calculated but hitherto unobserved 4A″ state.

Theoretical Investigation on Photoionization and Dissociative Photoionization of Toluene

Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics, 2017
The photoionization and dissociation photoionization of toluene have been studied using quantum chemistry methods. The geometries and frequencies of the reactants, transition states and products have been performed at B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level, and single-point energy calculations for all the stationary points were carried out at DFT calculations of ...

Photoelectron and photoion study of the valence photoionization of C60

Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 2005
Abstract Recent photoion yield measurements, done in the valence photoionization region of C60, reveal a high fraction of doubly and even triply charged ions [see A. Reinkoster, S. Korica, G. Prumper, J. Viefhaus, K. Godehusen, O. Schwarzkopf, M. Mast, U. Becker, J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. 37 (2004) 2135]. The C 60 2 + intensity

Photoionization of the beryllium atom

Physical Review A, 1995
Photoionization cross sections of the Be atom are calculated using the hyperspherical close-coupling method where a model potential is employed to approximate the screening of the 1[ital s][sup 2] closed-shell core electrons. The cross sections obtained below the Be[sup +](2[ital p]) threshold agree well with the results of other calculations and with ...

Dissociative photoionization of N2O: Analytical photoion spectroscopy

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1989
Branching ratios of ions produced from the dissociative photoionization of N2O have been measured by using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer and synchrotron radiation in the 15–36 eV region. The branching ratios in the Franck–Condon gap (15.0–16.4 eV) indicate that the autoionizing Rydberg states in this region predissociate to NO+ and O+ through ...

Photoionization and dissociative photoionization of the allyl radical, C3H5

International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2007
The photoionization and dissociative photoionization of the allyl radical in the VUV range was investigated using synchrotron radiation. Allyl radicals were generated by flash pyrolysis from allyl iodide and 1,5-hexadiene. Mass spectra show the appearance Of C3H3+ as a fragment in the dissociative photoionization of allyl above 10 eV.
