Photoionization of Ne8+

Proceedings of the 2014 Annual Conference on Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment, 2014
The time-dependent close-coupling method based on the Dirac equation is used to calculate single and double photoionization cross sections for Ne8+ in support of planned FLASH/DESY measurements. The fully correlated ground state radial wavefunction is obtained by solving a time independent inhomogeneous set of close-coupled equations.

Photoionization Microscopy

Physical Review Letters, 2002
We present the first experimental results of a technique called photoionization microscopy. Photoelectrons ejected in threshold photoionization of Xe are detected in a velocity map imaging apparatus, and interferences between various trajectories by which the electron moves from the atom to the detector are observed.

Photoion anisotropy in dissociative photoionization of CF3I

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1990
Dissociative photoionization of CF3I is studied in the region of the CF3I+ A state (13–15 eV). We observe a pronounced anisotropy of the I+ fragment ions in the time of flight coincidence spectra obtained at 14.24 and 15.0 eV photon energy, but having the same 13.3 eV parent ion internal energy.

Photoionization of the Buckminsterfullerene Cation

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2016
Photoionization of a buckminsterfullerene ion is investigated using an ion trap and a merged beam setup coupled to synchrotron radiation beamlines and compared to theoretical calculations. Absolute measurements derived from the ion trap experiment allow discrepancies concerning the photoionization cross section of C60+ to be solved.

Bonding in a Borylene Complex Investigated by Photoionization and Dissociative Photoionization

Chemistry - A European Journal, 2012
AbstractThe borylene complex [(OC)5CrBN(SiMe3)2] has been investigated by using threshold photoelectron–photoion coincidence spectroscopy with synchrotron radiation. The ionization energy of the parent complex and the 0 K appearance energies of the sequential CO loss channels have been determined.

Photoion yield spectroscopy in the 4d photoionization of

Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 1998
Using an ion-photon merged-beam apparatus, photoion yield spectra of and from the 4d photoionization of were measured as a function of photon energy in the range 110-160 eV. The measured spectra look very similar to those from a neutral Eu target. Both and yield spectra, a broad `giant resonance' appears at 140 eV with some preceding small peaks at 131.

Theoretical Investigation on Photoionization and Dissociative Photoionization of Toluene

Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics, 2017
The photoionization and dissociation photoionization of toluene have been studied using quantum chemistry methods. The geometries and frequencies of the reactants, transition states and products have been performed at B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level, and single-point energy calculations for all the stationary points were carried out at DFT calculations of ...

Photoelectron and photoion study of the valence photoionization of C60

Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 2005
Abstract Recent photoion yield measurements, done in the valence photoionization region of C60, reveal a high fraction of doubly and even triply charged ions [see A. Reinkoster, S. Korica, G. Prumper, J. Viefhaus, K. Godehusen, O. Schwarzkopf, M. Mast, U. Becker, J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. 37 (2004) 2135]. The C 60 2 + intensity
