Photoionization in molecular oxygen
International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 2009Theoretical studies are reported of partial-channel photoionization cross sections in molecular oxygen employing the static exchange approximation and Stieltjes-Tchebycheff moment theory techniques. It is found to be particularly important in this prototypical open-shell case to specify the correct ionic parentages of the various multiplet ...

Double photoionization of methane
Physical Review A, 1985Double photoionization (DPI) of ${\mathrm{CH}}_{4}$ has been studied in the photon-energy range 35--52 eV by the photoion-photoion coincidence (PIPICO) method. Throughout this energy range the measured DPI cross section is found to be much smaller than that of the corresponding process in the isoelectronic neon atom.

Abstract Doubly charged sulphur dioxide cations (SO2++) are produced by photoionization with synchrotron radiation from ACO in the excitation-energy range 34–54 eV. A new photoion-photoion coincidence (PIPICO) experiment is described in which coincidences between photoion fragments originating from the dissociation of the doubly charged parent cation

The dissociative photoionization of CH2Br2 in a region ∼10–24 eV was investigated with photoionization mass spectroscopy using a synchrotron radiation source. An adiabatic ionization energy of 10.25 eV determined for CH2Br2 agrees satisfactorily with predictions of 10.26 and 10.25 eV with G2 and G3 methods, respectively.

Abstract The photoionization and dissociative photoionizations of dichlorodifluoromethane have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. In experiments, photoionization efficiency spectra for CF 2 Cl 2 + , CFCl 2 + , CF 2 Cl + , CFCl + , CF 2 + , CCl + , CF + and Cl + have been measured.

Photoionization with excitation and double photoionization of the helium isoelectronic sequence
Physical Review A, 1998We perform a systematic study of photoionization with excitation and double photoionization of ${\mathrm{H}}^{\ensuremath{-}},$ He, and ${\mathrm{Li}}^{+}$ using the convergent close-coupling formalism. The present calculations cover the photon energy range from the double-ionization threshold to 10 keV where the results go over continuously to the ...

Characterization of resonances in photoionization
Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 1983Multiple-scattering calculations are used to characterize the au resonances in the Nz X”’ I;: and COz c”? Xi ionizations by means of radial density plots and to identify the resonant components in the corresponding continuum wavefunctions and cross-sections.
