Spectral self-action of THz emission from ionizing two-color laser pulses in gases
The spectrum of terahertz (THz) emission in gases via ionizing two-color femtosecond pulses is analyzed by means of a semi-analytic model and numerical simulations in 1D, 2D and 3D geometries taking into account propagation effects of both pump and THz ...

On Photoeffect in the Few-Electron Atomic Systems
Closed analytical formulas are derived for the differential and total cross sections of the non-relativistic photoelectric effect in the three main classes of few-electron atomic systems: (a) neutral atoms and positively charged atomic ions which contain

Cu‐Pd Dual Single Atoms Promoting Selective CO2 Photoreduction to C2 Products in Seawater
Cu and Pd dual single atoms anchored on TiO2 cooperatively enhance C─C coupling during CO2 photoreduction in seawater. Under xenon‐light irradiation and without a sacrificial reagent/alkaline trapping agent, the catalyst achieves highly selective acetic acid formation.

An extensive study of photoionization from neon excited states was performed. The R-matrix approach was applied to calculate a photoionization cross-section from the metastable 2p5(2PJf)3s[K]0,2 and dipole-allowed 2p5(2PJf)3s[K]1 states.

The deposition of Iron on pristine MoS2/Au(111) monolayers produces nanoparticles that donate charge to the support, generating Fe+2‐interfacial species. On the contrary, on defect‐engineered MoS2, sulfur vacancies trap sub‐nanometric Fe clusters and host two excess electrons that redistribute locally, suppressing Fe oxidation without formal Mo ...

The 5d-6p VUV Photoabsorption Spectrum of Bi+
The photoabsorption spectrum of Bi+ was measured in the wavelength range between 37 and 60 nm, using the dual laser plasma technique in which one plasma is used as the source of vacuum ultraviolet continuum radiation and the other plasma is used as the ...

The epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) effect in metals emerges only in nanometer‐scale films with exceptional optical quality. Titanium nitride (TiN) films grown by molecular beam epitaxy retain high crystallinity down to 2 nm and exhibit dramatically enhanced nonlinear optical responses near the ENZ region.
