Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 9, 12 February 2026.
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

Deconjugative Photoisomerization of Cyclic Enones

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society
The deconjugative isomerization of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds enables regioisomeric products to be forged with simultaneous Umpolung of alkene reactivity. Although highly enabling, the endergonic nature of the net process coupled with governing regioselectivity outcomes, renders it challenging.

Push–Pull Bridged Stilbenes as Small Solvatochromic Aggregation‐Induced Emission Luminogen: Design and Excited‐state Deactivation Dynamics

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
A push–pull bridged stilbene (DpCBS[7]) demonstrates both solvatochromism and aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) within a compact molecular framework. Despite polarity‐dependent emission shifts, its fluorescence quantum yield remains low in solution due to ultrafast internal conversion.

Optically Switchable Full‐Color Quantum Dots via Diarylethene Photoswitches for Smart Display and Security

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
An innovative photoswitchable system based on quantum dots and diarylethene enables reversible RGB photoluminescence switching. The system achieves over 90% photoluminescence quantum yield in the on state and a high on/off ratio of ~100. Efficient switching is driven by synergistic Förster resonance and triplet energy transfer, applicable for ...

Optochemical modulation of corneal cold nerve terminal impulse activity with a photochromic ion channel blocker

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 3, Page 545-559, February 2026.
Background and Purpose The functional organization of corneal cold nerve endings, critical structures in maintaining the ocular surface, remains poorly understood. Here, the photoisomerizable small‐molecule diethylamine‐azobenzene‐quaternary ammonium (DENAQ) was used to photomodulate activity of cold‐sensing nerve terminals in control and chronic tear ...

π‐Expanded Nitrogen‐Cation (N+)‐Doped Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons: A Review of Intramolecular Cyclization Routes to Benzo[c]Quinolizinium, Triazinium, Pyridoquinazolinium, and Pyridoquinoxalinium Frameworks

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 4, January 26, 2026.
This review surveys recent progress in the synthesis of extended aromatic quinolizinium derivatives via intramolecular SNAr and oxidative 6π‐electrocyclization. Conventional thermal approaches are discussed alongside emerging, sustainable activation methods such as electrosynthesis and photochemical processes.
